Admissions

The Orchard Primary School is a popular school with parents and this has resulted in us being an over subscribed school with long waiting lists.

We follow the London Borough of Hounslow admission policy and parents of pupils who wish to apply for a place at the school should contact the School Admission Team in the Education Department of the London Borough of Hounslow.

There have been important changes for the admission criteria for community primary schools in Hounslow from September 2012.  Admission for places will be governed by the following criteria:

  1. Children in care
  2. Children with an exceptional medical or social need for a particular school
  3. Children with siblings in the school at the time of admission
  4. Children within the priority admission area (PAA) by distance
  5. Other children

Households will now also be in the PAA of more than one school.  There are now 5 Super Priorty Admission Areas.  Orchard Primary School belongs to Central Hounslow SPAA.

Transfers Into Orchard Primary School

The Admissions Team at the London Borough of Hounslow are now responsible for all admissions into primary schools across Hounslow Borough.  If you would like your child to come to our school, please visit the Admissions Team at the Civic Centre in Hounslow (or call them on 0208 583 2778 from 2pm - 5pm).  



Nursery Admissions 2012

Please note nursery forms will be available for collection from the school in January 2012 for September 2012 start.  We advise that you visit the school between 9am-3.30pm to collect your form.  

We are an oversubscribed school and follow the London Borough of Hounslow admission criteria.  

 

Reception Admissions 2012

If your child is born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008, your child is entitled to a full time place in Reception class from September 2012.   

Reception applications are now available to collect from the School Office or available online from the Hounslow website.

Please note the following important dates:

Tuesday 10th January - last day for application forms to be handed into the school (please attach a copy of your council tax bill)

Sunday 15th January - last day for applications to be handed into the Civic Centre or completed online.

Offers of places will be sent to parents 1st class on 18th April 2012 to be received on 19th April 2012.

Those of you who make your application online, you will be able to access your information from 18th April (after 5.30pm)

You must confirm your acceptance of your place by Wednesday 2nd May.

The deadline for appeals is Friday 18th May.
